Return policy

L.A. Hearne Company Return Policy for Items purchased on hearnegateopeners Website.

We will accept most any item we sell as a return for full credit less a 10% restocking fee, less shipping costs within 30 days of receiving the product(s), This does not include any specially fabricated and special order items as detailed below. After 30 days, the products manufacturer becomes responsible within the limitations of their specific warranties. You are responsible for shipping charges back to us. Please read the full explanation below for exceptions and conditions.

How To Return Item(s)
All returned items must have an RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) number. Mark the RGA number clearly on the outside of the package or on the shipping label. You must call 800 709 9099 before returning an item to receive your RMA number. Return ship to: L.A. Hearne Company, Att: Gate Returns, 524 Metz Road, King City, CA 93930

The item(s) must be returned in its original condition and in its original store presentation box or container. Please place the items original box inside another box to protect the original. The customer is responsible for the safe and undamaged return of all items. Do not reuse packing or shipping boxes that have been damaged. Upon receiving the item(s) back, they will be inspected by us to make sure all parts, including installation instructions and documentation, are returned. Damaged or missing items will be deducted from your refund. You must ship all items with signature required and insured. Failure to do so could result in no refund, if it is clear we had not received the item back.  Any items returned that are missing instruction manuals, original packaging materials or in an otherwise un-sellable condition will be charged a minimum $10 plus the 10% restocking fee.

Amount of refund
Shipping charges are not refundable. If the original shipping charge is indicated on your invoice, your refund will not include that shipping charge. On items that did not have a shipping charge added to your original invoice, but which we did pay a shipping charge, the actual shipping charge paid by us will be deducted.

Refused shipments at time of delivery
Orders that are refused at time of delivery where we have incurred a shipping expense, will be subject to no refund of the shipping charge to you and an additional charge for the shipping fee back to us. If for any reason you feel that a shipment is not acceptable, call us immediately at 800 709 9099. In cases of damaged merchandise these shipping charges will be waived, if a successful claim can be filed against the shipper with your assistance.

Special orders
Any order that is considered special fabrication is not returnable and therefore not refundable, unless the product is damaged or not built as ordered. This includes customized work of any kind. Specially ordered items, which we normally do not stock, also are not returnable. Only products that are stocked and that are not listed as special order items can be accepted for returns.

Pricing Errors and Omissions
We do our best to insure that all prices on the website are accurate and up to date, however because of the large number of items listed on our site, there is a chance that an item may be shown with an incorrect price.  We work hard to avoid these errors, but they can happen.  If we have made a mistake on an item you want to purchase, we will attempt to honor that price if at all possible.  Unfortunately there may be times when we cannot honor a wrong price and, therefore, we reserve the right to cancel any order.
