The Mighty Mule 500® is a Heavy Duty Single Swing Gate Opener designed for installation by "Do-It-Yourselfers" and is America's #1 Do-It-Yourself Gate Opener.

Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate Openers are "Do-It-Yourself Kits" designed to be easy to install yourself because no electrician or any welding is required. The Mighty Mule® E-Z Gate Opener DIY kits include almost everything you need to complete the automatic gate opener installation; including an informative installation video and manual.

For Single Swing Gates up to 18 feet long or 850 pounds.

Easy to install low voltage system, no electrician or welding required.
COMMERCIAL GRADE Soft Start / Soft Stop feature increases life of hardware and opener.
Large control box with room for extra battery and accessories.
Works on all gates; chain link, tube, panel, ornamental, wood and vinyl.
Provides up to 225 cycles per day using transformer charger. UL APPROVED - obstruction sensing enhances gate operation safety.
Adjustable gate activation alert and auto-close.
12-volt battery backup (included) opens and closes the gate even during power outage.

The Mighty MuleÂ® 500 Single Gate Opener (FM500) is a heavy duty, commercial grade unit that is very easy to install. It has upgraded commercial features such as "soft start "and "soft stop" that will extend the life of your gate hardware and gate opener.

Another feature is the extra large control box that is prewired for an optional second battery. (We recommend a second battery for solar applications.) All these advanced features are contained in an easy to install, "Do it Yourself" kit. The Mighty MuleÂ® kit includes a helpful installation video and detailed manual so you can install it yourself!

The Mighty MuleÂ® 500 single gate opener is compatible with all accessories including solar panels.
